In response to the current worldwide pandemic, BreakShuttle has instituted a COVID-19 Preparedness Policy to ensure the safety and health of our employees, their families, our partners and vendors, and our communities. Our policy addresses proper hygiene practices, limitations and practices for gatherings, attendance restrictions, communication, and continued assessment of the circumstances.
BreakShuttle employees are working remotely from their homes to limit interaction and potential spread of the COVID-19 virus and other illnesses. Our technology infrastructure is suitable to accommodate the current needs so our deadlines and priorities can be met. With the new policy and procedures, we have also instituted the following safeguards for our employees, clients, community partners, and vendors:
- Cleanliness of our offices includes the regular sanitation of frequently touched surfaces. Minimum distances and limited interaction are being practiced by any staff needed in an office.
- Any employee exhibiting signs of illness, having been in contact with someone testing positive for COVID-19 within 14 days, or having traveled outside the United States within 14 days are prohibited from entering BreakShuttle offices, visiting client project sites, or attending any in-person business meetings.
- Any employee who tests positive for COVID-19 must notify BreakShuttle’s HR department immediately so that anyone potentially exposed to the employee, including coworkers, clients, project partners, or members of the public, can be notified of the potential danger. Any employee who tests positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to return to BreakShuttle offices, visit client project sites, or attend any in-person business meetings without a medical clearance indicating they no longer test positive for the virus.
- We will be working with appropriate vendors prior to future BreakShuttle trips to ensure that vendors have instituted proper COVID-19 policies and procedures to ensure the safety and health of customers.
We greatly value the relationships we have with our customers and partner schools and will do our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
